Daniel B. Nagelberg, Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist in Georgia since 1981. He obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University in 1975, an M.A. (1977) and Ph.D. (1980) in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University, and he completed a Clinical Internship at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham (UAB). After five years as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Georgia Southern University, he has been in full-time private practice and is co-owner of Coastal Psychology, LLC, in Savannah, Georgia. He holds clinical privileges at Memorial Health University Medical Center and Coastal Harbor Treatment Center in Savannah. Dr. Nagelberg is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA), the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA), and the National Academy of Neuropsychology NAN).

Dr. Nagelberg specializes in diagnostic assessment, including psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. He is currently not accepting psychotherapy patients. He has completed thousands of diagnostic evaluations of children and adults and numerous Fitness for Duty evaluations for The Southern Company (Georgia Power), QTC, Comprehensive Health Services, the City of Savannah (Police Department), the United States Army, and the United States Marine Corp. He has been married 35 years and has two children, a 29 year old son who graduated Johnson and Wales University and is chef de cuisine at Lumiere in Charlotte and a 28 year old daughter who graduated DePaul University and earned an MFA at Columbia College Chicago. His personal interests are in health and fitness; in addition to family time, his "second job" is training and racing triathlons, placing 15th for Team USA in Age Group World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2010. He subsequently qualified (but did not compete) for Team USA in Beijing and London. Three years ago (August 2014), he completed an Ironman at Mont Tremblant, Canada in 12:32. Last year, Dr. Nagelberg focused on USA Age Group Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska in August. He qualified for Team USA in Rotterdam (Netherlands) in September of 2017. This year, he is recovering from rotator cuff surgery repair and is gunning for the Boston Marathon next year which will be his 21st marathon.
