Daniel A. Bochner, Ph.D. is the author of two books.  His recent release, The Emotional Toolbox: A Manual for Mental Health, is a self-help how-to.  His previous work, The Use of Self in Family Therapyis a clinical treatise in which Dr. Bochner introduced his "Relational Systems Model" for psychotherapy. Dr. Bochner's approach to psychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic treatment applies his spontaneous and authentic interpersonal style to diagnosing and working in-depth within assessments, and in both brief and long-term treatments. He has been a licensed psychologist since 1998. For the past 13 years, he has been in private practice in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Bochner has been working in the psychotherapy field since 1987 in community mental health centers, psychiatric facilities, private practice and in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Bochner provides psychological evaluation of children and adults.  In addition to providing individual (adult and child), couples, family, group treatment, Dr. Bochner is a clinical supervisor, and presents in the community on many topics related to family psychology and psychotherapy. As a member of the adjunct faculty at the Savannah Campus of the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Bochner has taught Clinical Theory and Marriage and Family Therapy and has led Clinical Seminars. 

Dr. Bochner earned his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in 1985, an M.A. (1992) and Ph.D. (1997) in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and he completed an APA Clinical Internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. Up until May 2001, he was an active duty psychologist in the United States Navy. At his final duty station, Dr. Bochner was the department head for the Mental Health Unit at Parris Island in South Carolina.  Dr. Bochner has been married for 20 years and is the father of two boys.
